The Sustenance Series

Mandatory: No

Date & Time: Wednesday, Nov 13 2019 - 7:00 pm
Host: Riepe College House
Description:

The Sustenance Series is a set of presentations/talks that will be held at Riepe College House where participants will submit papers and answer difficult questions in the food classification realm. We want to answer fun questions (is a hot dog a sandwich?) with answers from different academic backgrounds. The RA/GAs like myself are planning on showcasing our own disciplines with our answers, which could possibly even help students still trying to find what they want to study. This could vary from a thermodynamic approach (from an engineer) to an environmental approach (how much carbon-intensive are foods we eat?) to even a musical approach (what would Beethoven consider a hot dog?).
