New Student Orientation is an exciting and informative opportunity all incoming students go through. A plethora of activities are crammed into six days, and between presentations, preceptorials, and the Penn Reading Project, it is easy for students to forget some of the things that they learn. Because of this, NSOAI has started a recent initiative - First Year Fridays - a continuing set of events that will take place on Fridays throughout the year and will help first year students become comfortable with their new home.
First Year Fridays are events run by Penn students and Penn administration that are designed to impart to every student three keys to personal success in college - Academic Support, Financial Literacy, and Social & Cultural Awareness. These events are created to provide you with practical knowledge and wisdom to jumpstart your college career. Whether you're learning new study strategies at the Weingarten Learning Center, talking over the uses for credit and debit, or touring Old City; First Year Fridays are here to help you ease into your Penn Life! This is your beginning in college, let’s start it right.
