Host Your Class

Instructors and teaching assistants can host a class to eat, once per term in their own private home and be reimbursed up to a certain amount per student.

All instructors and teaching assistants of current classes, in any Penn school, are eligible for this program. A class may use this option only once, although an instructor may host smaller groups of students so long as no student participates more than once.

To apply for funding, please review the application guidelines and apply online. This program is only available during the fall and spring semesters.
Instructors and teaching assistants can host a class to eat lunch or dinner, once per term, at one of Penn’s Residential Dining facilities (1920 Commons, King’s Court English College House, New College House, or Falk Kosher Dining Café). Another lunch only location (limit 10) is Penn's University Club (special request must be made to krc@upenn.edu).

All instructors and teaching assistants of current classes, in any Penn school, are eligible for this program. A class may use this option only once, although an instructor may host smaller groups of students so long as no student participates more than once. Students with a meal plan will use one of their available meals. Students with no meal plan or who have no remaining meals on their plan will swipe their PennID at the register, and the program will pay for the meal.

Instructors who wish to arrange for a meal or a dish related to a course topic (for example, a language course eating a cuisine as a cultural experience) should include all special requests with the submission of the class roster.
