Host Your Class Program (for Professors/Mentors/TAs)

Instructors, teaching assistants, advisors, and Penn staff of any department can host a class (or group of mentees) to eat lunch or dinner, twice per term, at one of Penn’s Residential Dining facilities (1920 Commons, Hill, King’s Court English College House, New College House, or Falk Kosher Dining in Hillel).

Other Special Options Guidelines
  • All instructors and teaching assistants of currently running classes, in any Penn school, are eligible for this program.
  • Additionally, Penn staff in any department are eligible to host students.
  • A roster of your class will be required.
  • Instructors may also host smaller groups of students so long as no student participates more than twice.
  • At the dining halls, students with a meal plan will use one of their available meals. Students without a meal plan or no remaining meals on their plan will swipe their PennCard at the register, and the program will pay for the meal.
How to Register
  • Please click here to sign up for the program.
  • Faculty will be prompted to register in the reservation portal; this will create a permanent account and save your information so that you will not have to re-register on a yearly basis.
  • The code needed to sign up is TakeYourClassFall2018.
Instructors and teaching assistants can host a class to eat, once per term in their own private home and be reimbursed up to a certain amount per student ($6 refreshments, $8 lunch, $12 dinner).

Guidelines
  • All instructors and teaching assistants of currently held classes, in any Penn school, are eligible for this program.
  • A class may use this option only once, although an instructor may host smaller groups of students so long as no student participates more than once.
  • This program is only available during the fall and spring semesters.
  • Alcohol is not reimbursable.
