Civic Responsibility
Civic Responsibility
Penn students are known for their involvement in community service and civic responsibility, and there are many opportunities for civic engagement. The Civic House is the University of Pennsylvania's hub for student-led community service and social advocacy work, promoting connections with the West Philadelphia community and beyond, through education, community connections, and other resources. The Netter Center for Community Partnerships builds mutually beneficial partnerships between Penn and West Philadelphia, as well as Philadelphia, through academically-based community services courses and work-study/volunteer opportunities. Several service-learning programs and fellowships by the Fox Leadership Program help students find their passions, by putting people first, to succeed the right way.
